I wanted to try bgentoo/b, because I was kind of sick of having to fight with ubuntu/debian to get at more contemporary packages. Having a distribution that’s really picky about these things when I’m not running a server, and capiable of b.../b

Have to enable the 'hal' USE flag in bGentoo/b, recompile a dozen or so packages, and uninstall the acpid daemon. Time to go submit a bGentoo/b Bug requesting acpid gets a big warning saying it's not the right approach any longer, b.../b
