X.Org 7.4 has been moved to extra. After sitting in testing for quite some months, it#39;s time to move this package. This version fixes quite some issues present in the old version we had in extra.This version contains some important changes:- Input hotplugging is enabled by default now. See http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xorg_input_hotplugging for more information.- nvidia-71xx is no longer supported and has been removed from the repositories. Affected users should install xf86-video-nv or xf86-video-vesa, complaints can be sent to nvidia for not providing compatible drivers.

The main archlinux.org server will be going down for a planned hardware upgrade for some of tomorrow (Nov 20th). We are adding RAM, disk space, and switching to x86_64.Thanks to everyone who has donated, you#39;re the ones making this happen.See you all in about a day.

To ZSH Users:The 4.3.9 zsh upgrade must be forced, as the package now properly handles the unzipped man pages. Before they were unzipped in the .install file, meaning the files weren#39;t tracked in the pacman db, now they are never zipped with the #39;!zipman#39; options flag. Thanks to Xavier/shining for being a patient, bug and patch submitting awesome dude.Sorry for the inconvenience.(Remember to only -Sf zsh , not -Syfu. Unless you want that.)

Annoying bug you filed not fixed? Waiting on a package to be updated? If only there was some way you could help out and improve everybody#39;s favourite Linux distribution... As some of you may have noticed, the sun Java Runtime Environment and the Java Development Kit have spent too much time waiting in the extra repository waiting for some love. However, no developer was excited to maintain these packages.Since we already have the OPENJDK6 package, an open source implementation of the JRE and JDK, we have decided to move the JRE and JDK packages to community, where Geoffroy Carrier will be taking good care of them. He has already updated the packages and fixed their pending bugs. Thanks Geoffroy for your good deed.No package in the official Arch Linux repositories depends on these packages, as they have already been recompiled against OPENJDK6. Sorry about the unplanned downtime- we had an issue with the server this weekend and we couldn#39;t address it until about an hour ago. Back in the paleozoic era, during the migration from PHP 4 to PHP 5, we switched to Squirrelmail#39;s development branch out of necessity.Now many years later, this is no longer a problem. In keeping with Arch general best practices, we are switching to the stable 1.4.x series in [extra].If you have input for us to consider in finalizing this decision, please let me know. If no new issues come to light, squirrelmail 1.4.16-1, now appearing in [testing], will be moved to [extra] in about a week.Paul
