We are glad to inform that Linuxish is back. Linuxish is maintained by Akuna and is the most used repository by our users being also the default set by Slapt-get togetherwith Unicamp. The GoblinX Linuxish repository is out all day. This repository waskindly created by Akuna and it is very fast. You can still use another repositoryto download packages or isos. Unicamp, CVut and Uoc is working. Tomas announced the release of Slax 6.0.8. The release isimportant because includes Kernel 2.6.27.6, upgrades for AuFS and SquashFS, and a lot more. We will use the Slax Kernel source and scripts to build our ownKernel and then start to build modules. In order to get further maintainance help we signed to Submarino and PCTech101 afiliates programs. The GoblinX 2.7 - current stable release - got a new repository category called patches. Just like Slackware, inside patches you will find important upgrades and security fixes. For now the patches repository is not compatible with Slapt-get and only Slackware packages are added. It is important upgrade the patches packages to have a more security installed distribution. The DistroWatch Weekly will no more be written by Ladislav Bodnar."For over 5½ years I've never involuntarily missed a single issue - until last week, that is. That was when I found myself confined to bed, for a second weekend in a row, with some nasty infection that made it impossible for me to even look at a computer screen, never mind write articles that tens of thousands of visitors would want to read. As a result, I decided to cancel last week's issue and get myself plenty of rest instead.
