You might be looking at a web page and decide that you want to save save it in a convenient form for viewing later, or perhaps you want to share a .odt file with a friend without converting it to .doc. Both of these situations can be solved by creating a PDF, a format that is well supported in Fedora as well as other popular operating systems.
Creating a PDF of a web page, or other file, is simple as this functionality is built into Fedora.
- Open up the file or web page you want, and from the File menu, select Print.
- In the dialogue that appears, either choose ‘Print To File’ or ‘Create A PDF document’, depending on the application being used.
- Make sure that PDF is selected as the output type, and enter a file name and location.
- Click ‘Print’.
